CORNEX, a rapidly rising lithium battery manufacturer in China, has officially released its 472Ah energy storage battery cell, featuring significant advancements in battery technology. This high-capacity cell, designed for large-scale applications, offers a 50% increase in energy compared to the previous 314Ah model, reaching a nominal energy of 1510.4Wh. The energy density of the new cell is 195Wh/kg, further enhancing its efficiency.
The 472Ah cell builds on CORNEX’s fourth-generation battery technology, using a “technology reuse + shared capacity” strategy. It leverages the successful materials and production processes of the 314Ah cell, inheriting its high reliability, stability, safety, and long cycle life. With the addition of advanced technologies such as lithium supplementation for the cathode and high-temperature resistance, the 472Ah cell can achieve a cycle life of up to 15,000 cycles, even at 35°C, with no performance degradation.
The 472Ah energy storage cell is designed to support both 1500V and 2000V system configurations, offering flexibility for different energy storage projects. It is capable of supporting energy storage designs ranging from 6.28MWh to 7.06MWh, providing scalability for large-scale applications.
The cell is ideal for various energy storage applications, including grid stabilization and renewable energy integration. As the global demand for large-scale storage solutions rises, particularly with the growing use of renewable energy sources like solar and wind, the 472Ah cell meets the need for reliable and efficient energy storage. CORNEX aims to maintain its position as a leader in the energy storage market with this new product.
